Small but spectacular, part of the Virunga volcanic range. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park may be Uganda’s smallest park, but it holds immense beauty and significance. Nestled in the Virunga Mountains along the borders with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, it features three striking volcanic peaks — Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo.
The park protects endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, making it one of the few places in the world where you can see both species. Its scenic hiking trails wind through bamboo forests, lava caves, and misty ridges, offering panoramic views across three countries — a truly unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
